Fat ‘n Fashionable Post

I’m not gonna lie- I lurveee me some fashion. I love going clothes shopping (well, when I find atleast one thing I like and look good in anyway) and I just love it when I put something on and I feel fabulous. So, since I wasn’t sure what else to blog about and because my camera’s batteries actually had power in them, here are some of my fav. articles o’ clothing!

I got this top at Torrid for $40… I was kinda iffy about the price, but I loved the shirt! I love military style clothes, but I don’t always think they look great on me. This, however, did, so I bought it anyway. And I LOVE the color red! My only problem with this top though is that it is actually a little too big. I get frustrated at Torrid sometimes, but I’m in between a 1 and 2. My boobs are too small for 2’s, but it fits great everywhere else. That is my problem with above top, my boobs are too small so it doesn’t fit quite right. Either way, I love this top and I always get so many compliments everytime I wear it- totally worth the forty bucks. (Not to mention I feel like I could whoop someone’s ass in it. FIERCE! XD lol)

(sorry for the quality of the pics on these ones…) The first shirt was also from Torrid (clearance price is $20? Jeez that’s more than I like to pay regular lol).. But I loved the fabric and it’s flowyness, so I bought it (not to mention I love the color as well). The second top (the one that’s the sucky picture) is one of my favorite shirts of ALL TIME! (yes, really!). I got it at Lane Bryant for (also) $40, but it was sooooo worth it! I feel like a goddess whenever I wear it. My mom didn’t like it when I first tried it on, but I just knew it was for me! So I payed for it myself lol. Love, love, love it!

I love dresses. If my whole wadrobe were dresses, I would be jubilant! I also love skirts, but I’ll save my favorite skirts for another post. I got this cute little dress at Target for $20. Sadly, it’s still frigging freezing outside, so I can’t wear it (same with all my other dresses ><! Hurry up Spring!) But anyway, it’s comfortable, good price, and totally cute!

This dress is so COOL! I feel like an old school detective or (again) military chic fierce! I actually got this at Charlotte Russe for $26. I saw this and knew that I had to atleast try it on. To my surprise, it managed to just fit! My boobs are actually alittle to big for it (and they are only Cs! This is a size Large too!) so I usually wear a shirt underneath, but when I was taking the pic I had no such shirt so I was forced to stuff the girls in there lol. Charlotte Russe is good for fat girls who can almost pass as being “normal” or who are in the middle (like me). Sometimes you can find a great deal, but other times you strike out (last time I went there I couldn’t find anything). But still, if manage to find something, it’s totally worth it. I wish their clothes would go to atleast an XL instead of just L, but not much I can do there. (I also love the belt, I have totally used it a zillion other times on other shirts).

(showin’ off teh booty in the second picture- lol!) omg, fav. dress ever! (and I still havn’t even worn it yet!!! lol, you can see the tag on the second picture). I got this dress at Kohl’s for $17 (it was originally like $70!! Bargain!). It’s from the Candies line I guess… I just lurveee the fabric and the way it fits/drapes my body! I can’t wait to be able to actually wear it. Same with the other dress, normally I need to wear a cami on top because it drapes just a littlee too low, but I was lacking a cami at the moment so I tried to just pull it up lol.

I’ll probably do another one of these posts, it’s fun to model my clothes for my bloggies lol.

Okay, now I reallyyyy want to go shopping!

  1. I love that brown dress!

One thing to remember about spending money on clothes–it’s worth it if you love the clothes and wear them to death. I’ve found that the clothes I spend more than $20 on last longer and fit better.

As for that first shirt–do you use a sewing machine? Know someone who does? You might see if you can take it in just a bit to make it fit your boobs.

  2. I lurve that brown dress too, very chic and mature and so hip! You are an absolutely gorgeous kid and if anyone tries to tell you otherwise, kick ‘em in the junk. These pictures are priceless – and they’re proof!

  3. Wow, you have yo’self some awesome hair! And I love the clothes!

  4. Seconding the brown dress love. I’ve realised from photos on here and the Rotund that I gotta start wearing belts over dresses.

    you are so cool. Seriously.

  14. Okay, so I’m a full year late in getting here, but I LOVE that brown shirt dress! The white criss-cross top is really cute too. :)

  15. You’ve got style, girl! I LOVE the pink shirt at the top and the brown belted dress.

Also, OT but you have almost exactly the same kind of hair as me (texture, color). It’s kind of freaky – we’re hair twins.

  16. Also OT but I just read your blurb and…a female Japanophile who’s a feminist? Seriously? There seem to be about 10 of us, total. Every time I run across one I feel like I just spotted a unicorn.

  17. Girl, you are rocking that brown dress. Love it! And HELLO!!!! Love Love Love the hair!

  18. Lizzie, you’re super pretty and I like your style! Thanks for the cute pics.

  19. I just had to say that you are an absolutely gorgeous woman, and you would totally rock my world. You’re beautiful, and those dresses really make your look incredibly cute.

And no, I’m not some old, creepy guy, either. ;)

  20. You’re beautiful!

  21. Omg. THE BROWN DRESS… I WANT IT.

…if suddenly your dress goes missing and I start posting pictures of myself in an awesome dress, you’ll know who to suspect.
