So I am, in fact, still alive lol. I just havn’t gotten a chance to be on the computer since before our trip! This weeked was the New York City trip for Social Studies club (hence why I wasn’t around)! Woot! It was so much FUN
. So I shall blog about it’s awesomeness.
So first I go to Ehmuhlee’s house and sleep over (as her house is closer to the school we go to lol). Watching Youtube videos is so much fun (I can never do it because I have dial up and such
) and watching Juno = awesomeness. Then we get up at 5:40 ish. Get on the bus at 6 ish. And then a two house (ish lol) bus ride. lol, I never shut up on the bus (sorry guys ^^; )
So we get to New York City – The Adventure Begins! We went to Chinatown first (but we were saddened when the Japanese store we discovered last year was no where to be found! Not fair!) and shopped. I bought some plastic earrings, two headbands, a cute Prosport purse with pirates and such on it (so adorable!), and a fedora hat (lol, I always wanted one! But at Hot Topic they were always like $20.. This one was $10 so I bought it!). Chinatown is always crazy but still fun. We had lunch at the three story McDonalds there.

(picture from Chinatown)

(We couldn’t stop laughing at this store’s name lol. It’s my new catchphrase)
After China town we went to a Strawberrys. I got a super cute dress and necklace. After that it was back to the bus, which took us to the Hotel. Emily, her sister, and I went to the indoor pool at the hotel (I got to wear my bikini for the first time!) and got to go swimming! I do love swimming, and I really miss it in the winter time. Then we got to relax in the hot tub. God I want one of those in my house lol. Then we ate pizzaaaaa for dinner.
Next thing we knew we had to start getting ready for the Broadway show we were going to see. We made a list of shows we wanted to see, and our teacher can get discounts and such, and he got us tickets for Chicago (seating in Orchestra, row K, and all five of us together.. it was awesome!). So we had to get ready for that and such and then the bus took us back to the city.

(me with eye makeup on that I stole from Stacey. I didn’t have any makeup with me, so I used some of her eyeliner and mascara lol)
The bus dropped us off RIGHT in front of the theater where chicago was showing. It was AWESOME lol. We were worried we wouldn’t be able to find it and get back in time, but luckily the bus drops us off right at the Ambassador theater. Sweet. We walked to the MTV store and then to the Virgin megastore and spent out time there until the show. We walked back to the theater and got in line.

(me, posing infront of the theater)
This was my first time seeing a Broadway show, and it was a lot of fun. Live performances just amaze me, considering it’s like acting, singing, and dancing all at once. That’s takes talent, and it was so cool to see. I saw the movie Chicago before and I really liked it, and I loved the music. The Broadway was awesome! The only negative I would say is that the Orchestra was on the stage, not in the pit, and there weren’t any costume changes (I love costumes and background and stuff lol), but other than that, it was great. It was all raunchy and sexy and awesome. And for once, I didn’t feel all “These women are gorgeous and i’m fugly”. You know that stupid voice that comes into your voice telling you that if you don’t look like them you are shit? It didn’t happen. I just enjoyed the performance. Even if I am not a dude or whatever, it was hot lol. And the guy dancers were like woah. lol.
After it was over we all felt really raunchy and stuff lol. Like, I just wanted to go around and dance and be all BAM. lol. Or maybe it was just me.

(The smexyness lol)
So, total, I spent $58 for the Broadway ticket, $10 for the playbook, and $25 for the CD. But I don’t think I’ll be attending any other Broadway shows for awhile, so it was worth it.
The next day we headed off to Central Park. I went with Stacey and Ellyn (Ehmulee’s sister lol) to Abercrombie & Fitch. Okay, That is definitely NOT my store. It reaked of perfume and the music was so loud I couldn’t think. Plus, the clothes were way expensive and probably didn’t even have sizes for fat girls. Well, one yummy thing came out of it:

There was this totally HOT guy standing in the entrance, and you could get your picture with him. lol. I guess that’s only in big cities or something. We were pretty much drooling. He was yum. lol, He was problaby thinking “What is this fat girl doing in this store?” lol. But whatever. Fuck it, he was hot and I wanted a picture, so I got one.
We walked back and went into this one mall, I don’t know what it’s called, because it was raining. And when I walked in, I was treated to a nice surprise.

It was the fat lady statue that was in Enchanted (where she was like “She’s beautiful!” I always loved that scene in the movie)! I know the other people in our group probably didn’t see it the same way I did, but whatever. I thought the statue was beautiful. And, in my head, I was all “she looks like me!” kinda thing. So I was really happy I got to see it. So I took lots ‘o pictures! (though I only have 2 because there isn’t enough room on this blog lol)

Yay!
Then we went to Grand Central Station/Terminal. We went to the Strawberrys near there (lol, we love Strawberry!) and I got another dress. Then I got Chinese for dinner and then we got on the bus for the ride home.
The second day is more of a drag, because you know you are going home.
And when I got home we had a chip dip party. And it was delishious. And I didn’t feel guilty after eating it. I just felt happy. Happy I had such a good weekend. Just happy. It was nice.
It was so much fun! I really wish I had another year to do it agian. I’m going to miss this trip, it was one of the best memories from last year and from this year.
Woot, look at this fat girl having fun trolls!
neenur!
And Friday is prom!! Woot! I’ll have a post for that too. I would’ve posted pictures of my dress before (like I did with the Christmas Dance Dress) but I want it to be a surprise for everyone. So much to look foreward to
!
yay!
Gawd, I am so jealous! Of your trip, your hot-man-touchage, your cute hair… sounds awesome! I do have to say, my list of restaurants would be 6 pages long if I ever went to NYC… the most delish food in the world, right at your fingertips! Next time girlie…
Have fun at prom, be safe!

Glad you had fun, babe. I love New York.
Abercrombie and Fitch freaks me the hell out. Especially the part where they hire generically hot guys with killer abs to stand around shirtless. Creepy.

I’m jealous of your crazy curly hair.
Wonderful cut. So adorable on you.
I hate Ambercombie and fitch.
We just got a store here in Toronto last summer .. when I walked in, i asked them if they sold adult sizes. i swear it was for children and/or babies. whoops

Wow, what a great trip. I’m happy for you and jealous at the same time. I’ve been to NYC just a couple times–once on my trip choosing a college, and once to visit a friend. In fact, my coteacher is on a trip there right now! My favorite part was getting a bagel sandwich breakfast and eating it in Central Park. It made me feel like I actually lived there. I’m hoping to get back there this August.
You must live pretty close to take such a trip with your school. That’s great.
I’m kind of disgusted by that guy but he has a hot face, I’ll give him that. How weird it must be to be employed based solely on the “quality” of your body. And how tenuous a position.

Your trip sounds like it was fantastic! That mall with the fat woman sculpture was in the Time Warner Center on Columbus Circle. I used to live across the street…
I love your blog and your photos!
