Seriously, August 2 cannot come fast enough!

And I’m debating how I want to buy the book. I’m sorry I’m not a “super fan” or whatever by pre-ordering the book a year in advance. I don’t know if I want to buy it off Amazon and have it shipped to me on time and such and maybe save some money- or reserve my copy at Barnes and Noble and go to the midnight party.

Or, if the awesome god visits me, Ehmulee and I could go to the Borders in New York City and go to their midnight release party (which we saw posters for). If that could happen I might just die of the greatness. Still, I’m happy I now have a friend to go with who won’t rub in my face how much more of a fan she is. So Ehmulee, you best start reading the books so I can spazz lol. I NEED SPAZZ PEOPLE! But anywho, I’d rather go to a midnight party for the book than just order it offline. I went to the Harry Potter 7 midnight party (right after being in the car for 12 hours coming back from vacation lol. That was a longgg day and night) with Ehmulee, and it was so much fun! So I guess we’ll see what happens. Either way, just finally having the book will be great.

I remember when I first bought Twilight at Barnes and Noble back in 2005. They had it out with a bunch of Halloween books, and it caught my attention, so I bought it. I read it, loved it, and lent that book out to everyone. (yeah! Trend starter! lol).. And omg, the movie!!! Those of us in Publications spend all our time spazzing about it and watching trailers! yay!! I actually do like all the actors they choose (except Alice’s hair wasn’t the way I pictured it, but I like it. And I thought of Victoira with red red hair, not strawberry blonde red hair) and I can’t wait for December. I totally need to get my uncle to get me the movie poster!! lol.

So, if you are a fan of the Twilight series, please, spazz away. If not, then just ignore this post lol. If you don’t like it, that’s fine, but please respect that this is my blog and I do love these books.

  1. I shall be spazzy with you about Twilight.

And I’m one of those freaks who pre-ordered months in advance, because it was cheaper for me that way, and there is no way I will be going to the midnight release party nearest me.

  2. YOU READ TWILIGHT.

    OMG.

Please tell me you are not a srs bznz fan. The BFF and I are planning to attend a midnight release party here, covered in sparkles so that we’ll ~DAZZLE~ everyone. We love to hate the series. There is a fabulous couple of communities on LJ, if you like to mock the stuff you love: rpattz_trufax and ontd_twatlight. Fabulous group of gals in both places.

I’m kind of entranced by that cover. Someone in twatlight has a theory that the red pawn is Bella and the white queen is Vamp!Bella but I’m puzzled over the significance of ‘queen’ and ‘pawn’. Which means I am thinking about it way too much.

  3. Did it eat my comment?? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

  4. Oh, I am obsessed with Twilight! (Of course, I love any good vampire story ^.^) I am so excited for the next book, and the movie! Seriously. I read each of those books in a few days flat, I was so entranced by the story and characters!

A funny thing is that I have actually been to Forks before I ever read these books! I’m from the Seattle area, and I went to the University of Washington. For a Marine Biology class, we received a list of field trip options and were asked to pick one. I ended up choosing one involving tracking limpet movement, out on the Olympic Peninsula on the coast of Washington. We took the ferry across the Puget Sound and drove around the north end of the Peninsula, through Port Townsend, Sequim, and Port Angeles, all the way down to the Forks/LaPush area, where the UW has a research facility. The research we did was actually out on Rialto Beach, which is gorgeous and rugged.

And let me tell you – Forks is hilarious. Why? Well, there are two main streets in the whole town, one being the Pacific Coast Scenic Highway 101. You drive through and all these teens are just hanging out at the two gas stations in town, which are right across the street from one another. Being from a sizeable city, this struck me as very odd, because gas stations just aren’t cool hang-out spots. And north of town, there’s this very stereotypical small town bar there, with Christmas lights strung all over it and tons of cars parked outside at night. I believe there was only one grocery store there. Of course, it was windy and rainy and overcast the whole time we were there, which isn’t all that different from Seattle, but it was pretty persistent. Of course, the Olympic Peninsula is home to the Hoh Rain Forest, so it rains most of the time there. Seattle is rainy, but not Rain Forest rainy.

Anyway, those were some of my experiences of and observations on Forks, which definitely enriched my reading of the Twilight series.

  5. Oh, and Harry Potter rocks. I read the 7th book in a 24-hour period.

  6. I’ve never even heard of these books!

I just found this blog, and i must say that you are a very brave and insightful young woman :o )

Love the photos of you too. I have to say in the most ungay way possible, that you are an absolute stunner! Some people are plain, and others are attractive, but you have that special something – you’re gorgeous!

  7. Aawww that avatar face i got sucks! —> I want a smiley one darn it lol

  8. Hey Elizabeth – somewhat random in regards to the post, I Just wanna say I recently found your blog and I love it. You have given me such a change in attitude and helped me become more loving to myself… and I have only been reading your blog for a few days. You really help me to pull my head out of my body-hating ass and see things objectively and with love towards myself. Thanks so much for writing here and please keep it up. You really give me something to think about and to improve on. Thanks!!!!

  9. I shall be spazzy with you about Twilight.

    Yay!!!!!! :)

XD I would love to tell you, but I have no idea what a “srs bznz” fan is ^^; (and now I feel really stupid- like I am missing something obvious lol). I love to obsess about the books and I spazz about Edward, but only to people who like the books and who know me. It’s fun to have fun with it lol. I do usually find the mocking stuff pretty funny at times. I just can’t help but love the books though X3. (XD the “dazzling” sounds so friggin funny too lol)

lol, I am to busy spazzing at the moment- I spazz a lot lol- to have put much thought into the cover. I just think it looks friggin cool. And it makes me happy that I know how to play chess. BOOYA!

Did it eat my comment?? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

XD lol! Ugh, I have switched my blog over so that I moderate all comments, after all the “R” crap. It sucks, but for now I have to leave it this way.

Oh, I am obsessed with Twilight! (Of course, I love any good vampire story ^.^) I am so excited for the next book, and the movie! Seriously. I read each of those books in a few days flat, I was so entranced by the story and characters!

:D yay! Even more people to join the spazz circle lol. omg, I did the same thing lol. I get them and just devour them the next day, and do nothing else. I’ll eat like a cracker and then I won’t go to bed until I’m done lol. It’s crazy. I think I’m going to have a Twilight fest the days before the book comes out and just re-read the first three. Yessssss :) .

A funny thing is that I have actually been to Forks before I ever read these books! …Anyway, those were some of my experiences of and observations on Forks, which definitely enriched my reading of the Twilight series.

Aww! That is sooo cool! (It sounds like a fun trip too~). It would be so neat to be able to know what Forks looks like in your head while reading. I’m not always the best at imagining settings and all the cars the cullens drive lol. Sooo I just make them up in my head XD.

Oh, and Harry Potter rocks. I read the 7th book in a 24-hour period.

I am so happy I am not the only person who does not stop until they finish reading a book. I went to the midnight release party for HP7. The day of was the day I spent 12 hours in the car coming back from vacation lol. So after being the car for 12 hours (and having gotten up way early that morning), I get back home in time for like a shower and to change my clothes and have dinner, and then we were off again to go to Barnes and Noble, and we didn’t leave there until 2 in the friggin morning. I wanted to read HP7 sooooo badly, but I couldn’t even stay awake in the car. So, sadly, I had to sleep and then got up and right away went to reading and didn’t stop till I was done lol. Yes, I am crazy :)

I’ve never even heard of these books!

Must convert!! lol. In a more not-crazy-way, I would definitely suggest reading them. It seems like everyone either love the books or hate the books, but I love them. So def. give ‘em a try.

Aawww that avatar face i got sucks! —> I want a smiley one darn it lol

XD lol, I’m sorry! If I could make it turn into a smiley face for you I would- but it’s all based on your IP or something lol. OWN THAT FROWN!! lol.

  10. Hello, again. I am here to say that I am probably addicted to the twilight series. I don’t think I am classified as a super fan or whatever, though. I have read all the books so far. Actually, I accidently read the second, third, and fourth before I knew that Twilight was the first one. :) It made a lot more sense after that. I can’t wait for the new book to come out, but I probably won’t go to any midnight book release parties. My parents are against me reading these books. They think I will go gothic or something. Not that gothic people are bad, but that’s just my parent’s stereotype. I also can’t wait for the movie, although I’m a little disappointed about some of the actors casted, oh well, I’m coping with it better, now. It will definately not ruin my movie viewing experience! :) Keep up the posting, I like reading about what you do daily. You always make things light and funny. mmm……what else?? idk, good luck on your interview, I hope you get the job. And congratulations on getting your drivers license. I can’t wait till I know how to drive!
The thing is, I’m so short that I will have to sit on a pillow x)
well, this is a pretty long comment….I think I’ll end it, now. Please reply back. Thanks! :)

  11. Eww…my little avatar face thing looks creepy. :(

Oh well, maybe it just needs some love to make it beautiful :)

  12. I am here to say that I am probably addicted to the twilight series

    Yay!! Another fan :) !!

My parents are against me reading these books. They think I will go gothic or something. Not that gothic people are bad, but that’s just my parent’s stereotype. I also can’t wait for the movie, although I’m a little disappointed about some of the actors casted, oh well, I’m coping with it better, now

omg.. my parents were so against the goth clothes that I used to wear. Well, my mom was, my dad thought it was cool XD lol. I think the whole goth stereotype needs to just stop… I remember when people used to think reading Harry Potter would turn their kids into satanists or whatever. I think people go overboard with that sometimes. None of the characters in Twilight are gothy though, so I don’t really get that. Unless vampires automatically equal goth or something… hm.

I’m actually really happy with the actors casted. I didn’t like Victoria’s hair- I was picturing like Red red hair, not strawberry blonde, and Alice’s hair I pictured a really short black do’, but I’m okay with it now. I liked the girl from Lemony Snicket for Bella, she seemed perfect, but I never really care about Bella anyway lol. I always pictured myself as her so it wasn’t ever a factor XD.

good luck on your interview, I hope you get the job

:) Thanks, I’m going to need it lol.. I’m so nervous!
