*EDIT 7/10/09*- I found a few pictures from summer 08 (right after I got my hair cut short) that I never got around to posting.
I’ve blogged a few times about rocking teh bikini, and I wanted to put all the pictures together on one of my pages.
What’s BBR stand for? Bikini Body Ready. You know how all those magazines go on and on about getting “bikini body ready” for summer by losing weight and dieting and starving yourself and such just to fit into a swimsuit? Well, if you havn’t heard of that before, enjoy that bliss. For everyone else who is sick of it, enjoy your body just as it is. I don’t mean that everyone should go out and buy a bikini if they don’t want to. But if they do and the only thing holding them back is the belief that they are too fat to wear one and that they need to look a certain way to wear one- then go for it!
So here are all my pictures of me, teh fatz teenager in my bikinis. Go rock ‘em.

I think you are soooo pretty! I wish i had your confidence cause cant EVER wear bikinis. When i swim i always wear shorts and a shirt. I hate that about me but i cant stand seeing all the stick shaped girls around me and it makes me feel bad.

I know everybody has an opinion, here’s mine anyway. “You are beautiful” I love your attitude too. It’s so rare to find a woman that believes curves are beautiful. It makes me sick to see women trying to diet themselves into the shape of a 13 year old boy. I hope you influence others.

Awesome! I’m 40 now, and it’s only been in the last ten years that I’ve decided I was “allowed” to wear a bathing suit. I hate to admit it, but sometimes I even like the OMG faces that I see people make when they think I can’t see them.

It’s dumb that every girl worries about how her body looks or how pretty she is, but you have the confidence to not notice those things and just move on with your life. I’m sixteen and I’m bigger than most girls,too. But if you just look at the better parts of your body, you’ll find the inner girl inside of you.

Thank you so much for posting this. I’m a little hesitant to wear either of my bikinis anywhere besides my backyard pool, but I think you have just inspired me to wear them confidently.
You are so right about fashion magazines being garbage. The only time I read those magazines is when I’m waiting at the dentist’s office, and the articles pretty much always shock me. Now, I’m no radical feminist, but there’s more to most women’s lives than dieting, buying designer clothing, and “pleasing your man.” It’s just ridiculous.

I am on my college swim team and I always feel embarrassed in my one piece let alone a bikini. Looking at your pictures I thought to myself, “Wow, she is beautiful.” Then I realized it that all I needed was that confidence that you show and I could say that about myself too.
